Audio recording
NuType uses the microphone only when you start dictation with your configured shortcut or control. It does not listen continuously in the background for general conversation.
Local speech and text data
Transcripts, cleanup history, dictionary entries, and app settings are designed to remain on your device unless you choose a feature or provider that sends data elsewhere.
External providers you configure
If you configure an external speech recognition or AI provider, audio or text required for that feature may be sent directly from your device to that provider. The provider's privacy policy and terms apply.
Permissions
NuType may request microphone, speech recognition, accessibility, input monitoring, or related macOS permissions so it can transcribe speech and insert cleaned text into the current app.
No ads, analytics, or tracking
NuType does not include third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technologies.
